Main functions and uses
1. Measurement: Provide the voltage signal of the system for the electric energy meter, power meter, multi-function instrument, etc., and use it to measure the line voltage of the three-phase system.
2. Protection: Provide voltage signals for relay protection devices (such as overvoltage, low voltage, loss of voltage protection, etc.).
3. Insulation monitoring: through the residual voltage winding (open delta winding) attached to it, it is used to monitor the insulation condition and ground fault of the system. When a single-phase ground fault occurs in the system, the open triangle will generate a voltage signal to drive an alarm or protection device.
4. Synchronization: provide synchronous voltage signal for the automatic input device of standby power supply.
Structural features
1. Epoxy resin casting insulation: primary winding, secondary winding and iron core are all made of flame retardant, moisture-proof, high-strength epoxy resin vacuum casting into one. This structure has high mechanical strength, excellent electrical performance, strong anti-pollution and moisture ability, and is very suitable for harsh environments.
2. V-shaped structure: There are two primary windings inside and two high-voltage terminals (A and B) outside, which are connected to phase A and phase C of the power grid respectively, and phase B is the common terminal. This structure saves space and only needs two transformers to measure the three-phase voltage, so it is also called "incomplete star connection".
3. Built-in fuse (according to the model "R" interpretation): Some manufacturers will design a built-in or reserved location for installing a high-voltage fuse at the high-voltage incoming end for short-circuit protection of the transformer itself.
4. Residual voltage winding: In addition to the two main secondary windings for measurement and protection, there is a third winding (open delta winding) for connecting the insulation monitoring device.
5. Installation method: usually adopts the base plate fixed installation, which is suitable for the instrument room of various 10kV switch cabinets (such as KYN28A-12 and other intermediate cabinets).
